Group chat: posting, audio and what to try when messages won't send

How group chat works and what to do when it doesn't.

Using group chat

Everyone in the group can read and post in the group chat. If you leave a group or are removed from it, you lose access to its chat.

Messages won't send or load

  1. Update GymRats to the latest version.

  2. Check your connection. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

  3. Close and reopen the app.

  4. Check you're still a member. If an admin removed or banned you, the chat won't load. See How to remove or block someone from your group.

  5. Audio not working? Make sure GymRats has microphone permission in your phone settings (iPhone: Settings → GymRats; Android: Settings → Apps → GymRats → Permissions).
