How days active scoring works

In groups using "Days active" scoring, you earn one point for each day you check in, regardless of how many check-ins you record that day. For example:

  • If you check in once on Monday, you get 1 point

  • If you check in five times on Tuesday, you still get 1 point for that day

Time zones and fair competition

To ensure fair competition across the globe, points are awarded based on each participant's local time zone. This means:

  • A check-in at 10 PM in São Paulo counts for the Brazilian participant's current day

  • A check-in at 2 AM in Lisbon counts for the Portuguese participant's current day

Why you might see different days

When viewing another participant's calendar, their check-ins are converted to your local time zone. This can sometimes create confusion.

Here's an example

Let's say Maria in Lisbon checks in at 1 AM her time on Tuesday. When João in São Paulo looks at her calendar, he'll see the check-in at 9 PM Monday his time. This is perfectly normal – Maria still gets her point for Tuesday because it was Tuesday in her time zone when she checked in.

Key points to remember

  • Each participant's points are based on their own local time zone

  • The calendar view shows check-ins converted to your time zone

  • If someone's score seems off by a day, it's likely due to time zone differences

  • The scoring system automatically handles these time zone conversions to ensure fair competition
