There are two kinds of groups in GymRats.

Challenge

Time-limited competitions that run between specific start and end dates. Members compete to reach the top of the rankings during this period. Perfect for:

  • Setting targeted fitness goals

  • Short-term motivation

  • Focused competition periods

Club

Ongoing fitness communities that automatically track member progress. Rankings refresh on weekly, monthly, and yearly cycles. Ideal for:

  • Long-term accountability

  • Continuous motivation

  • Regular participation without manual challenge creation
